Join Us in Celebrating SC STEM Education Month
ABOUT
STEM Education Month is a statewide event inviting STEM stakeholders - students, k-12, higher education, out of school learning, business/industry, and government - to celebrate, explore and discover why a quality STEM education is vital to the future of South Carolina!
STEM Education Month is celebrated annually between March 14th and April 14th. These dates correspond with Pi Day (March 14th) and World Quantum Day (April 14). During the month, we highlight STEM events through a community calendar, recognize a STEM Educator of the Year, award 5 grants to educators and their schools, celebrate STEM Day at the Capitol, host Duke Energy Science Nights at 50 schools, and much more!
The 2024 STEM Month theme is 'Opportunity in the EcosySTEM'. The term ‘ecosystem’ has taken on a whole new meaning as it comes to represent the collaborative network of dedicated leaders and innovators shaping the future of South Carolina through STEM education. This dynamic network encompasses educators, students, business and industry professionals, nonprofits, community organizations, and more - all united by a shared commitment to creating a culture of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
