Parameters

Stories can be submitted in either an essay or video format.
Parameters for Essay 
200-word limit  

Parameters for Video 
No more than 3 minutes long 

Tips For Filming Your Submission: 
When filming your video submission, picking the right location is key! The best location will be well-lit, quiet, and distraction free.  
Setting up your camera at eye-level is ideal, making smartphones and webcams a great tool! 
Have confidence! We are so excited to hear from you.  

Tips For Writing Your Submission:

When writing your narrative essay, use Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or similar tool to draft your story. When finished, you can upload the document or copy/paste the text into the submission box.

Guiding Questions

Tell your story by selecting one of the categories. Use the guiding questions in each category to help your thinking.
STEM ADVOCACY  
In what ways have you and/or your organization successfully advocated for quality STEM education in community, school, and out-of-school settings?  
How have advocacy efforts increased knowledge and/or communication among different stakeholders (education, business, community, economic development?

STEM AWARENESS  
In what ways have you and/or your organization successfully built awareness of the value of STEM education and career opportunities throughout your community? 
Based on your successes, what are some next steps or continued efforts under consideration? 

CAREER AWARENESS
As one of SC's STEM business/industry partners, how have you successfully engaged SC educators to increase their STEM content knowledge and awareness of STEM career opportunities?

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
